Here it is, my first poseable character! He's a simple little cartoony guy, but that's what I wanted. I call him the Renderosibee.;) He was modeled in Amapi 6.1 and boned in the Pro Pack's Set-Up Room. I'm still messing around with joint parameters, but I'm getting closer and closer each time. And so I give you... Renderosity's new unofficial mascot! Whether you want one or not.:P

Here's another one. As you can see, there's still some joint work to be done, but he's getting there...

And here he is fighting naked Victorias for a place in the gallery.;)

This is a great character. Hey, the Vickies don't seem to be very interested in fighting.

x2000 ( ) posted Mon, 24 June 2002 at 10:23 AM

Thanks.:) Eh, the Vickies think they've got it made, so they'd rather just pose. Just wait 'til they get a taste of his stinger. That'll teach 'em a lesson!;)

I'm not sure, but I think the left bee in the first picture is male and the right is female. ;P

"The Bee Alien has conquored the Earth women!!" lol

chohole ( ) posted Mon, 24 June 2002 at 1:21 PM

I have to disagree Mad Yuri, most bees are female, the male ones do nothing much, just lollop around eating and making love, so they are called drones, and when they are past it the girls just kick them out. I like them though, great little characters. Message671414.jpg

heyas; everybody knows it's only the non-breeding females who have stingers ;)

Everseer ( ) posted Mon, 24 June 2002 at 5:07 PM

Looks like somethin' out of a Bee movie ::runs and hides before he's pelted with rotten fruit::

x2000 ( ) posted Mon, 24 June 2002 at 6:08 PM

Ooh, Everseer, that was bad. You're going to have me breaking out in hives here! I think I'm going to grab a beer and try to catch a buzz. Otherwise I might just drone on and on. I thought I had a real honey of a character here, but your comment really stung. To bee or not to bee, that's the question... Did I miss any?;)

Everseer ( ) posted Mon, 24 June 2002 at 6:33 PM

think ya pretty much covered them all lol....nice work by the way though...can't say as i grasp the whole "bone" thing ((i take it its easier than relyin' on parented groups and the rot dials in the long run though?? if so i guess i gotta learn it quick sharp)) :) Ever

x2000 ( ) posted Mon, 24 June 2002 at 6:39 PM

Oh yeah, bones are the way to go. Pro Pack is worth the price just for that alone.

RHaseltine ( ) posted Tue, 25 June 2002 at 1:20 PM

Let's all wax lyrical....see, you did miss one.
