THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Lightning questions...

Hi, Sorry if this has been dealt with before... I'm trying to use the network rendering feature for some animations as well as some large stills. About two minutes into either of the renderings and Bryce crashes. I did a search in the forum for this topic but came up empty handed. Do you folks have any ideas? Working on a Mac OSX system. Thanks! Mark

Hmmm that's a strange one, I'm running OSX on all my machines and haven't had that problem. My suggestion would be to upgrade to the patch , which you prolly already have, or send Corel an e-mail, The Corelian developers are pretty savvy on the lightning stuff.

Do atleast one thing a day that scares the hell outta ya!!

Thanks Clay. Ummm, I should know to look for updates first. Software issues + too long of a day = goofy questions! ;) Mark

just a quick side note to clays post....you want to be sure that BOTH Bryce and Lightning are the same version. if you only patched bryce before, that could be your problem.

Thanks BH, I was using v5.0 in both instances. The 5.0.1 patches specifically address Crash on Render for animations and installing both fixed the problem. Oh man, being able to render like this is opeing up some possibilities that were off limits before... :)
