Hi everybody I just got Vue dEsprit 4 yesterday, but I have problems importing Michael. I have removed all the bump maps and transparency maps before importing as a pz3 file. I have aplied the head texture map to the head, but it all looks strange as you can see in the attacted pic. Anybody know how to fix this ? ;) Hi from Tom

Hello :)

Did you download the lastest patch for Vue from e-on? If not, head on over and get the lastest full update patch. :)

Once you do, you don't need to remove the bump maps or trans maps before importing. The only thing I remove are the reflection maps. His lashes and brows need the trans maps. :)

Tom, take care, maybe you have already the right version if you just got it. Before doing any thing, open Vue. Then click HELP--->ABOUT VUE D'ESPRIT from the top menu. You should see Version 4.06-02. If you see another version go to www.e-onsoftware.com and download the FULL 4.06 UPDATE, as NightVoice suggested. Import your full Poser scene as a pz3. Don't remove refection maps either, just remap refections with a refective material what is not possible in Poser, but in Vue. In Vue, give a little reflection to Mike's eye balls, iris and pupil, it will look more life. Guitta

Guitta

Ah, I didn't realize new versions of VUE now are shipping with the higher version. Good to know. :)

Also for the reflection maps, I haven't used them since I started and when I did have them on the items looked like chrome, which is why I removed them. I just now checked it again and what I just realized is that if I edit the material that has the reflections(from the material summary which I didn't know existed when I first started using Vue), all I need to do is lower the global reflectivity slider bar in the reflections tab. What it looks like is all the reflection maps do is simply crank up the bar way too high. No need to remap, just lower it. :)

Cool, I learned something today. :)
