Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 24 6:22 pm)
It is a scaling issure. One way to get it to work is to import your object in Poser, scale and position it and then export it out of Poser. Make your morphs from this exported version (using the objto3dm utility). This exported obj will be very small in Rhino, you can 3D scale with a factor of 100 to make the morphs. Later 3D scale it with 0.01 and export it. This works for me everytime.

Modeled the hair in Rhino, exported it as an obj.file and repeated for all the morphs I wanted to have.
Brought it into Poser and tried to load in a morph. At first it would start to scale the the hair ten feet off his head. I realized that to fix that I just had to position the prop on the head and load it in and it worked.
Or so I thought.
The morphs that work are ones that are very close to the original shape of the hair. Part left and right work, as well as bangs swaying into the center.
Everything else doesn't however. Making the hair shorter causes the hair to appear to just shrink vertically and it keeps the middle locked but pulls the top and bottoms down so it won't fit the head unless I was to move it up with the y-trans.
Longer does the same putting it way above the head, and the pulled back looks are really off.
What I gather is there has to be some way to say that the top of the head is the starting point or something like that but I was unable to find anything in the manual or any tutorials that I knew of so if anyone can point me to the right spot or tell me what I need to do, it would be very much appreciated.
