This is real old, but I don't know exactly how much. The neighborhood is one of the oldest areas in Pensacola Florida, which is an old city to begin with (by U.S. standards). I was just driving by, and I had to stop. Hope you like. I used one of my favorite PS techniques, which is simply a blur of a duplicate layer, and then using the "darken" layer options choice, around the 60% level. 3 photos attached.

This is the front porch. The first picture was actually the side of the house.

Nice house! Your postwork certainly put a mood to your pics. The first one has that "weird calm" feel to it. The last two are a bit dark and eerie. I like. My favorite is the last one. I agree, kewl window! And kewl moss, too. hehe.. (*

Nice shots Marshall, I really like the first one, the house looks like something described in a book (maybe a spooky one)...thanks for enlightening us on your favourite technique too! :-)>

I love that blur & darken thing, great way to add instant atmosphere & these have plenty of that!! #2 is my favourite, it seems to invite me in to explore! #3 is really cool too, love the window, great find ; )

What a find Phrank, love all three, some great detail and the post work gives a real ghostly effect. :O)

Thanks all for the feedback. It's in a great old neighborhood, and I'll be returning there this weekend and will try to shoot some more. One footnote to the effect.... After doing whatever it was I said above, I usually have to re-adjust the brightness & contrast after I flatten layers, because the "darken" layer option makes it too dark, but the effect it creates remains after adjustment.
