I messed with the light some more and it fixed some but others seem to have gotten worse. This render was set on ultra.

Hm, yes. The subject is nice, but the render.. It looks like if you have some blur on. Have a look in your cam settings if there is blur. If yes, put blur to O and Focus to 100. Make sure you have version 4.06-02 of Vue. If not, update. The moon is a glass sphere. Why? Don't you like the included moon? Have a look in PICTURE--->RENDER OPTIONS Click USER SETTINGS and then under ANTIALIASING click EDIT. How many subrays have you there? Your Quality treshold is how much? Waiting for an answer:-) to see farther. Guitta

Umm... included moon? IS there a moon? I went through all that with that sphere and there is a moon?????? Hm.. my version is 4.05.2. I just got it so I wonder why it hasn't been updated in the software already. Okay, will do that. 9 subrays and Quality threshold is in the middle. Focal is 35MM, Blur is 0 and focus is 100 Thank you for your help Guitta

You MUST update to Vue 4.06-02. I saw that you have used Neftis's hair. Only Vue 4.06-02 is able to bring it up right. Happy you found the moon. You have also all the other planets of the solar system. The moon (and the planets) in Vue 4.06-02 has a bug, this will be repaired soon. It falls under the horizon and outside of view. You have to put it manually on the right place. Try NOT to render in Ultra for the moment, but in Broadcast, until your image is completely OK. Also use a focal of 45 or 50 to avoid the distorsion of the moon and the wings. Let us know what you get. Later you may change the subrays and the Quality threshold to a highter quality. :-)Guitta

Okay, it is now updated. I took out the sphere and added the correct moon. Re-rendered it and it looks sooooooooo much better. Thank so very much Gebe for your help!!! Now, I need to think of something else to do for the challenge! LOL
