Have you ever written a long message or reply in this forum, hit "Create Message" and ended up on a wrong page complete with losing your message and having to start from scratch? Okay before you post, highlight the message and right-click copy which saves it to the clip board. Now if the message body is sent to "Noddy Land" it is simple to create another new message and paste the text back in. Tommy. (who lost another reply to cyberspace this morning)

I do that all the time, just in case. happy.gif

And not just at Renderosity, either ....

Yep... that's been SOP for me for a while now... I do that anytime I post anything of any length (marketplace, forum or gallery). I hate it when that happens.

Cinema4D Plugins (Home of Riptide, Riptide Pro, Undertow, Morph Mill, KyamaSlide and I/Ogre plugins) Poser products Freelance Modelling, Poser Rigging, UV-mapping work for hire.

Have to admit thats a practice I have gotten into mainly due to losing product descriptions when using the RMP upload facility.

Yes. Kinda makes you wonder where all those lost messages go?

BellaMorte ( ) posted Thu, 11 July 2002 at 12:54 AM

Yes! I have had that happen to me quite a few times. However, I discovered (quite by accident) then when I hit the back button, my message was still there ready to send. So I hit the post reply button again and it works properly that time time

Tks, Bella. I learned long ago, the hard way, that messages sometimes get "eaten". I got into the habit of pressing Ctrl-A (select all), Ctrl-C (copy) before I posting my message.

Don't forget CTRL-V to Paste the message! Message671414.jpg I do remember to do that sometimes. And sometimes you can just hit the back button on your browser to reclaim your message... Sometimes.

LOL The joys of computers/internet. Oh yes Ron. Can't forget the Ctrl V ;).

I always hit preview, then if the preview shows up, 90% of the time the message will post.
