I seem that XSI is a best on today 3D professional package... But it much not forgive for the study - too much possibilities. You will be able to find very nonbad and interesting material about XSI here: http://www.edharriss.com/tutorial.html (best tutorials) http://archives.itg.uiuc.edu/softimage/ (maillist archive) http://www.xsibase.com/ and http://www.cgtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=24 - very good forums.... http://roger.rosa.free.fr/index.html - RCR XSI Site, big collection of resources...

After much penny pinching and , quite frankly, begging like a little boy to the reseller I work with, for the last 3 months, I have finally purchased a copy of SoftImage|XSI 2. I have used softimage 3d in the past, but that was a long time ago, and XSI seems like a much different beast. Does anyone here use XSI or know of any good links to XSI websites? I have the experience cd and am quite disappointed with its tutorials, and I am a member of Buzz3D and have already looked over theirs. I am mostly looking for in depth or advanced tutorials or anyone who has experience with the software. I have been modelling in Max for a few years now so I know the general basics of 3d modelling, but I am having trouble applying them to XSI. any help would be greatly appreciated. I am also having trouble getting into the advanced levels of its material application, as I am used to Max's material editor and XSI's 3ds import options seem buggy at best and dismal at worst. perhaps I am just doing something wrong?
