Subject: Another Newbie Question

I ordered Carrara 2 directly from Eovia partly due to the fact that Digital Carvers Guild mentions that Toon! and Anything Glows are included when you purchase from Eovia. I can see Anything Glows, but can't seem to find Toon! On the Digital Carvers Guild web site it mentions Eovia Smart Pack, which was also mentioned on another site. What is the Smart Pack, where do I find it (is it on the Content CD?)? Or was something missing from my Carrara 2 box? Should I contact Eovia? Brian

Brian, To find Toon!, in the Assembly room use the Find field on the Properties palette or the Edit|Edit Scene Effects menu to select the Scene. On the properties palette select the Filters button (it looks like a gear) to switch to the filters properties. Use the plus button to add Toon!. Eric, Thanks a bunch! I tried it out on a couple of primitive objects to see how it looks. Are there any help files or documentation for Anything Glows or Toon! plug-ins? I looked over the Anything Glows tutorial on your web site. In another thread you mentioned Anything Grows 2 being available in 2-3 months. Will that be a free upgrade? I had been thinking about picking that up this week. If it's not then I'll just wait... I still haven't figured out what I'm doing with Carrara yet anyway!! :) Thanks, Brian

Brian, I think there is stuff in the C2 user manual for Anything Glows and Toon!. I don't have the manual handy, but I did notice some of the stuff I wrote in there so I assume that all of it is somewhere. What is there is pretty much a duplicate of what is on my site on the product pages. As for grows 2 in a few months, the upgrade will be free. Thanks again Eric. I found Toon! in the manual on page 515, and Anything Glows on pg. 336. I'm discovering that it's easier to find things using the table of contents then the Index. Brian
