Hello all. I have been playing with the demo of Vue d'Esprit for a few weeks now, and I had some questions/observations. I had downloaded it because of its Poser compatibility, and because I wanted to see how it compared with Bryce 4.1, which I already have. First, my thoughts: I think Vue has a cleaner and better organized interface than Bryce, and I like the terrain editor. It's easier to use, in my opinion, than Bryce's. All the Poser figures I imported came in without a hitch, which is more than I can say for Bryce. However, Poser figures rendered in Bryce seemed a little crisper. Making Boolean objects from primitives in both programs was equally easy. Finding the menu in Vue took some searching. The program seems to have some refresh problems. After rendering a few images and then closing them, I had to minimize-maximize the screen again to display the work area properly. Also, the figure manipulation tools can be very touchy. Some questions: Bryce comes with a library of pre-made terrains. Does the commerical version of Vue come with a terrain library? I've seen promises that soon we'll be able to import and render Poser animations in Vue. Does anyone know if this will be an upgrade/plugin, or a new feature of Vue 5? This last question is the make-or-break point for me. I've long wanted to render Poser animations in a better environment. Vue seems great, but until this new feature is implemented, I think I'll hold off on the program.
