Use photosho or paintshop and post render it. Use Rhino and the Drape command over the whale obj. This basically throws a sheet over the whale from whatever direction you start. Cut the top part of the drape using the trim or split command. You now have basically a sock around your whale. Export the sock as an object and import into bryce. Texture the sock with a noisier water texture or use the same texture as your base water but kick up the frequency or specularity so it looks choppier and brighter. put it around your whale and down into the base water texture and you have water running off the whale.

There'a a neat little app that generates a grayscale image which you can import into the terrain editor. The generating mode has many different results that are good for making a ripple terrain that can be adjusted and textured in Bryce with water textures. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Hi I've recently posted an image in my gallery of 2 humpback whales, one breaching (leaping out of the water). Well this was my first attempt at rendering an exported object in bryce. What I was wondering was does anyone know how I could make it appear that the water around the whales was being displaced, as my brother pointed out even if the Whale had discovered antigravity (see Disney's Fantasia II),when leaping out of the water it would still have made some kind of ripple. Any suggestions? Dave
