Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 06 7:01 am)
OK, here's what ya do. Open up Poser, load up the Dork, turn off all IK chains. Open up the joint editor, and zero the figure. Now, import the obj of the outfit you want to fit into the scene with all options turned off. Rescale and if you're good with magnets (Traveler's got a great tutorial at MorphWorld) do any fitting you need. Now, open up the grouping tool. You're going to need to regroup the collars so they don't take so much of the chest, and get rid of buttocks. You can probably just select the thigh group, click "add group", add the associated buttock, then delete the buttock group. With the chest, go ahead and add the polys you need to it. You'll now have some polygons that are double-grouped. To get rid of them, go to each collar group, click "remove group", and remove the chest. Export as an obj under a different name (so you don't kill your Mike outfit), with "Export existing groups as polygon groups" or whatever that option is as the only option checked. Now, open up an item of Dork clothes with the same body parts (the tux is good because it has all of them), change the two figureres lines to point to your new object, save under a different name and there you go. The thumbnail will be the little grey shrugging guy, but you can load the outfit up and then resave it to get a good thumbnail. There you go.
