Subject: Help, my Athena is empty!?

Patricia ( ) posted Fri, 02 August 2002 at 4:42 PM ยท edited Fri, 02 August 2024 at 7:35 AM

Found a neat statue of Athena months ago and saved her for a temple scene I knew I'd do eventually. But when I try to import her, Poser says the file is empty. But when I double click on the file itself, a screen full of code appears...?? (I''m a newbie, so please don't ask me to delve into it to find out what's wrong--the sight of it gives me a pre-emptive headache. Ouch.) But if anyone knows where I could find a replacement statue, I surely would appreciate it. It was so long ago that I can't recall where I downloaded her, and there's no ReadMe.

First question: what format? Is your file Athena.obj or Athena.3ds or .lwo or .dxf anything else?

It was a DFX file. Thanks to musicat, I just redownloaded her in 3DS----Thank you, musicat. The site looked familiar the second it came up--great models there. Some, like the guillitine (that's spelled wrong, I bet) is pretty rarely modeled....good collection of cemetary paraphenalia and kids' playground equipment in the lo-poly section.

OK, it looks like you are set, then. If I'm right, 3dup is the site with the magnificent sailing ship, 100,000 polygon rat, and other goodies. Have fun there! Carolly
