I've recently been working on a contract requiring Animation in Poser. I'm about 40% done now and have a nice workflow going. The client wanted animated text with sound affects and of course the Poser speaking. (Nope. Didn't buy Mimic. Did all the phrasing by hand. 8) ANYWAY, I got to thinking, that maybe someone would like to see how I very successful comped and animated within Poser with the help of Flash 4. I can take some guarded screen shots etc and give some technical thoughts. I couldn't find anything online as direction. I had to make this up, and I'll be damned if it isn't working GREAT. Please let me know!

Yes, that would be interesting to see. BTW, I love your image of St. Nick! :)

Interesting, Hell! That would, at the moment, be a virtual lifesaver! The problems I'm encountering with distortion during animations have me breaking my head against my monitor glass (which may yet yield first!) Please let us know when it appears and where!

I've broken the tutorial down to the following headings: "Face the Interface; Animation controls in Poser." "Please exit the building; Import/Export animation workflows" "Lights, Camera, Action: Flash and Poser Together" "Cut and Paste; Multi Layer Comping in Flash" "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly; Pros and Cons" Ultimately they'll be seperate PDF documents with screenshots etc. I'll also be making tutorial documents in Poser format and Flash format available for download so you can "play" with the files and see how it all worked (and sometimes didn't work) together. Everything will be available at visionized.com at the Article/Tutorial link. At this point I'm using Poser 4, Flash 4, Mimic, and Photoshop 6 for the project.

Just an FYI. The project is completed to the first stage. I'm currently building a multi page PDF document to go through the whole process. I'll make a text version available as well as a downloadable .zip "Tutorial Package" containing the tut, a .fla and .PZ3 file for experimentation at Visionized.com. I'm shooting for having it up by Monday Aug 26. Thanks!
