I hope someone out there has some kind of solution for this question : How do i make poseable' props ? I can build some stuff in 3D Studio, but when i import them in Poser, i can only scale it, or shove it around. What are the requirements of building a poseable prop ? Is there some kind of tutorial (of wich the link is not dead) on this matter ? Any help would be appreciated ! Thanks in advance, Rob.

Rob. It is more difficult to explain in a small amount of space. Go to the Propsguild Link and view the .irc chat instructions to get one on one help.. I will try and locate some tutorials that will get you started(had them somewhere, but have lost track of them) and I will try to post them when I do locate them.. Sprout

heya; did you see the 'posable prop challenge' thread? (was that you? ;) ) to make a posable prop, you have to follow the same steps as making a poser figure, since that is basically what they are: figures with moving parts.

To me, if you are making clothing props, the easiest solution is: - divide the prop in parts corresponding to bodyparts and give them the same names (lCollar, neck, etc) - open the .cr2 of a clothing prop that matchs the bodyparts of yours (shirt, catsuit, etc) - change its .obj name and path to the ones of your prop adn save with the new name. - load from poser and make invisible all exceding parts. For non clothing props, try to find a posable prop that matches the shape of yours and do the same. Always ask permission from the origina prop creator before posting, of course. Remember that Joint Parameters must match also. I know, it's cheating, but it's the only solution for CR2-illiterates like me. Damn, I've got to learn to edit .cr2's. Emilio
