It's nothing you're doing wrong, it's all imranshah's fault for using unsupported file types, Freeservers tells anyone which file types they support, all they have to do is RTFFAQ, to paraphrase RTFM :-) imranshah also packs his stuff in .exe instead of zips :-(
Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.
I doubt he/she is doing this to get hits. Freeservers charge for when bandwidth allowance is exceeded. Also freeservers is putting those ads on. Apparently imranshah did not read the fine print ad freeservers. Bye the way, imranshah is using a self-extracting winrar file to zip the files and break them up.

To anyone still following this thread: If you head over the above URL, you'll see that imranshah has changed all filenames by adding another extension '.zip' to them. This way all files can be downloaded your computer, bypassing the 'file-type not supported' error. After that, all you have to do is rename each file by deleting the additional extension '.zip', leaving only the true extension of each file (i.e. '.exe', '.r0*', etc.). Final step is executing the '.exe' files, in order for the items to self-extract to a location of your choice... Jon PS. I've already done this... there's nothing suspicious inside the filesKalypso: Brave soul ? Who, me ? You must mistake me for someone else :) On a serious note, though, one can never be too cautious about files he gets off the .net these days. A careful examination with an up-to-date anti-virus program is always recommended. However, when youre dealing with self-extract compressed files like these, you may opt to open them with the program that compressed them (WinZip and WinRAR), instead of executing them right away. This way you can see what is stored within Jon
If you are talking about self-extracting .exe's, these can open inside the utility that created them (WinZip, WinRAR, WinACE etc.) or a good-all-around compressing utility like PowerArchiver. Some of these, even, integrate with Windows Explorer, giving you more options when you right-click on filenames. On the other hand, self-install .exe's created using tools like InstallShield, Wise etc. (like the one DAZ offers with its products) cannot be browsed - at least not to my knowledge. Jon

Hi all,
Is anyone else having trouble downloading these from Freeservers?
I keep getting an error when I try and load the .r** files:
"You do not have permission to access http://imranshah.4mg.com/images/P4BikiniBot For Vic.r00.
The extension is not currently supported by Freeservers. "
If it's something that I'm doing, can someone give me some pointers?
Much appreciated,
-W'
