Subject: A simple wish - prompted by how to control the slider bar

Hi all:

I've seen some C2.x wish lists already (and it's only been out a few weeks). Here's a couple of wishes I was reminded of when reading the question regarding the slider bar. The answer to Darien's question was simply "turn camera animation off by clicking on the ball (circle...??) icon on the timeline." How many times does it happen that keyframes are unintentionally added because you didn't mouse over and click animate on/off.

I have two simple wishes:

  1. Please give us more keyboard shortcuts...such as collision detection toggle, animate on/off, those items you're frequently toggling while adjusting your animation or scene. At a minimum, IMHO, every menu command should have a shortcut. I can't believe the programming for something like this would take long at all. I think it'd be a valuable addition to a patch or update.

  2. One-click open/close of the drawers/trays. (ala Poser)

I really don't like to move the mouse so much to use Carrara. But then I find AutoCad's command line at the bottom of the screen appealing.

Thanks for reading.
