Supposedly(sorry for my bad english, I'm a damn mexican) divx 5 codec handles all the previou formats. One thing thoug i have some anime ovas encoded whit divx 3.11, every thing were fine with the 3.11 codec until I upgraded to divx 5 pro,the sound doesn't work, even with the "handle previous divx formats" option selected, you will need to install divx 5 for exteme quality compression and divx 3.11 only if you want to see anything encoded with it(to fix this encoder issue, when installing divx 3.11 select NOT TO REPLACE THE SOUND FILE THAT IT PROMPTS, the one that have the codec is hacked) Greetings from Mexico... Ascii (~_~)

I am completing a new system with WinXP. I admit I am rather green with XP so I have been asking a lot of questions of those who are more experienced with it. Right now, I am transfering or loading various multimedia items from my Win98 system. Are there any issues with using DiVX 3.11 on a WinXP system I should be aware of? I always render uncompressed, but I have usually converted to DiVX after editing. Take care and be well. casamerica
