I would certainly like to work with you! I'm sure I can haul out my collection of KISS photographs. I even reproduced some of those costumes on the 1978 Mego KISS dolls...snicker one that I did on the doll was Gene 1975 costume...I couldn't figure out how he had the leather 'wings' attached to the armbands for that costume and a friend back then dug up a black and white photo from 1975 that was shot of the band from behind just before they took a final bow...it showed me all the stitching that went into creating that part of the costume. But as far as modeling 3d clothing...I may never figure that out and content myself with texturing. Michael's tongue would certainly need a 'length and curve morph'...one that would make his ego proud. Liz
LOL, the MEGO dolls. I have all 4 of them (NRFB) and signed. I got a chance to interview them for the radio station I worked with a couple years ago. I asked them to autograph them and the Marvel comic that they did, the one that is in all red ink. The tongue should come from one of the snake characters that I see posted from Dacort.
I have 'somewhere on a cd' a prop tongue that was made for P4 that someone uploaded to the way older version of Poserworld before it was subscription. I would have to search for that, but I think a morph would be more effeciant that a prop. I'm working on Gene/Demon at the moment in Paintshop...I had done a head for The Crow sometime last year and decided to canabalize that for this project. Liz
Great work Liz...the Demon himself would be proud of you. Only thing I'd do is make the makeup color a bit closer to black. Gene used Stein's facepaint, which is a very deep black with bluish highlight. BTW, if anyone who models clothes is interested, I have some original KISS costume designs leftover from a comic project that never happened...I'd be glad to dig them out and scan them. Can't wait to see more, Liz! CT

Well, I saw that show tonight of KISS on "That 70's Show" and was reminded of my long time love of the band and wish to make them into Poser figures. There have been several attempts at them in the past, but using P4Male. Michael's maps would work much better for the precise placing of the band's well known makeup. I sort of consider myself qualified to give it a good attempt. Besides making two P4 'female' versions of Paul and Gene, I've been a long time fan and I am familiar with their faces. In the early 80's I did a series of portraits of the band, I've included one here of Paul (much scaled down)that I did in colored pencil. Yes, folks, that autograph IS authentic. I have Painshop set up to do the work, however, I guess I'm asking for a good base map for Michael that I can redistribute with permission. At the moment I'm using Edo by StephyZ and that is a commercial product. The body map would have to have some hair on the chest. As some of you who are fans will know, Paul has a 'rug' for a chest. Gene has some hair on his chest....Ace (has anyone seen him without a shirt on? Ah...besides his wife), and Peter Criss would be about like Gene. I would sincerely like to see some modelers tackle their costumes. I'd love to see Gene's Dragonboots as conforming Poser clothes....and and the dream....Paul's 1979 Dynasty "Minstrel" jacket....*smirk* I can dream, can't I? I'd appreciate any help and suggestions.
