Tried to make a founatin, but the water looks weird, and I'm not sure why.

Maybe mix the waterrings with milk? and a bit more splashes could change a lot. A bump on the falling part of the water may help. Fighting with this things myself still. regards Maria

For fountains or water in glasses or pots I like to use the "underwater" material and give it a different color if needed. This water looks more "transparent". Give it a try. :-) Guitta

I agree with Maria. The water is fine, it's only too calm. I have done a "splash" with particles in Cinema. You can see that in the attached link (hope this workes, i am doing that the first time). I'm not completly satisfied, but... If you are interested, i can send you the object - tthe zip file is 1 MB big. Walther

I agree with the idea to mix with blank liquids : you could use "material depend of altitude and slope" feature, since the upper jet should look less transparent. ;=) Yves

That was weird, how on earth have e-on managed that? Mixing with water is fun, I never know what I get when I render..lol I went downtown to look at some fountains, non of them looked liked mine though, but there were very few waterrings. But a lot of "splash". So Myske: I mix like crazy, and splashing around in the water like a little kid... ;) Gebe: Didn't know that, but I get weird colors when I mix. Wabe: I try to make a "splash" at the moment, I send you an instant message if it don't work. YL: ohh, didn't know that, I try it.
