Subject: Long-Sleeve china dress problems - Kozaburo please read

Jon ( ) posted Tue, 21 March 2000 at 5:17 AM ยท edited Fri, 02 August 2024 at 9:15 PM

Recently Kozaburo posted his wonderful textures for the long-sleeve china dress at Poser Factory. In the read me he says that he increased the y-scale fo the hip and right and left thighs to lengthen the dress. However, when I try I fail to achieve the same . If I do this to the dress before conforming it when I do conform it, it becomes short again. If I conform it first, I find that when I increase the hip's y-scale the top of the dress becomes distorted. Has anyone else tried this? I've tried everything, even locking the abdomen, chest, etc so that they wouldn't be altered, nothing works! Also, scaling the thighs seems to have no effect, only the hip. Sorry for the rant, but I am frustrated so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't gotten that far yet, Jon; sorry. DLed the textures and tried them out, but didn't try to achieve lengthening and conforming so I have no idea. I'll be playing around with it tomorrow. If I have the same problems, I'll let you know. :O) Sprout

Jon, Thanks for download my texture. :) If you have a modelling tool. Modify the length of the "ChinaDressSleeve.obj" in the "geometory" directry. Otherwise, do not confilm the dress to the character figure. After posing a character figure, copy the element parameters to the dress figure, (you can use "Copy&Paste" in the "edit menu" for this operation.) then adjust the lenghth of the dress. (I've set the Hip and the both Thighs Y scale=220% ...and... made a few adjustment on X scate and Z scale for the perfect fitting.) ---kozaburo
