you know, there should be more praise for free stuff, and I understand the concerns. I recently posted my first free stuff item. I was concerned about bandwidth, etc. All went very well. I also understand the cost of hosting. While we are greatful in having access to free stuff, we should also remember to thank those who contribute. I hope that you choose to renew your site (find a cheaper hosting company like www.addr.com or such). Look to your future. Continue to develop free stuff and when you're ready, find a way to enter the merchant store. Best wishes to you. Hope you continue to contribute to the community.
Thanks everybody for your kind words. :) EricoSD I did become a merchant. I put one item in the store a couple months ago I think. I haven't sold jack. lol Thats another reason for me pulling my stuff.Im also pulling my store. But thanks for the encouragement. I'll prolly continue to hang around some though. I use to like to make stuff for peolpe to use in there work. It's really cool to see your models used to create others art. I think now Im going to concentrate on making models for my art.

Thank you, and the other generous souls who have given not only of the costs to host and produce and support these models, but the time to make them in the hopes of pleasing us. Whatever you decide, continue modeling, continue making art... this may be too fickle an audience, but if you can please that harsh critic inside the cockles of the mind, you'll have come a long way.

Cyber Monk, I've been the happy user of your spoon in a picture where it was essential. I also credited you, but, as I can see now, only as "Monk". Sorry about that. I would really hate to see you go, there are many more usefull items in your free stuff! I hope Penguinisto can host your stuff.FREEBIES! | My Gallery | My Store | My FB | Tumblr |
You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Greetings fellow Rosity members. I have been a part of renderosty for a while now and have leared a great deal here. So when I became able I paid for web space($180/yr) and started giving away 3d models in the freestuff. Its been almost a year and its about time for me to either renew my subscription with my web host or let it lapse. I am thinking seriously about just letting it lapse. For one thing I think that there is no great need for my stuff and I will not be missed. Another is that in the past I have made things for Poser 4 mostly and will not be able to do the same for P5 since I refuse to buy it because of the copy protection scheme. So even less demand. Another reason, I think there is so much free stuff out there that people take it for granted. I have also even seen people give credit and praise to items that they have bought and not mention free stuff items. Now I don't usually care if I'm mentioned at all. Really... I understand its hard to keep up with a bunch of read mes and I just do not expect it.... but it just seems odd that some one bother to mention only the bought stuff. Oh well It doesn't really matter I'll still model for myself some and maybe I'll move onto to more artistic endevors. The site should be down by Sept. 28. So if you want any of my stuff better get it soon. Anyway I think I have paid back anything I owed the community.
