Subject: Recovering from Blue Screen Of Death

Quinn ( ) posted Sat, 14 September 2002 at 8:36 AM ยท edited Wed, 06 November 2024 at 5:57 AM

Morning folks, as the subject line says, Im in the process of recovery. On the good side I was able to recover 100% of the stuff I consider valuable, image files and e-mail files. Im about 90% back with apps. Believe it or not I find doing this sort of stuff challenging and almost fun. Actually I probably could have got much more back, the short reason is because I did back up the registry, but the OS was becoming unstable and I was thinking of whacking the machine anyway.
So now I have something to keep me busy this weekend. I wonder how long the girlfriend will let me set hear with a PC with all its wires and hard drives hanging out?

:-}

Lilgooser, Im with you.

Quinn, you're the only person I know who is having fun with the recovering stuff part... I find the experience almost harrowing, and very stressful. (you can guess where the term Blue Screen of Death came from.) Aggh. Sorry to hear about the cras, though. But count yourself lucky to have saved your precioussss files. (btw, I actually have a folder named My_Preciousssss hehehehehe...) :-) (*
