Subject: new file types in Poser 5?

I don't have P5 yet. I downloaded ronstuff's P5 baseball hat and there is a .mz5 file in a librariesmaterials folder. It is NOT a text file. Is it compressed? What other new file types are there, and are they text editable? Thanks.

heyas; yeah, its standard zip compression. you can unpack it with winzip or stuffit or what have you. all the things that end in z are.

That's what I was thinking, but the z is in the middle on this file.

heyas; okay, i take it back. i gave my winzip a crz, and it gave me a goofy look. ::sigh:: OH OH OH! duuuuuuh me! an mz5 is a material file for p5. probably a compressed material file. can't remember what the uncompressed version extension is. also, they did something weird to prop/pose files, because apparently, they both came out to be pzz or something....

I ran the file through Aladdin Expander and it converted it to a text file, but didn't give it an extension. There is quite a bit of new stuff in there.

um...p5 has a built in compressor, you can open those files in p5...and uncompress them there.

The file compression is from Pro Pack. I was wondering what new library file types were added to Poser 5, like the new materials file.

I believe technically they are "gzip" compressions. Isn't material .mt5 ? So compressed it becomes .mz5 ?
