I've seen quite a few threads asking for tutorials for various parts of poser5, it occured to me while reading the manual (all I can do right now) that there are some already around if you know where to look. The Hair room is ShagFur/Hair for 3dsmax The Face room is FaceGen The Materials room is C4d or Bryce4/5 Materials Lab The Cloth room is ClothReyes/Simcloth The Setup room is Poserpro Setup of course these other systems aren't exactly the same but I'm sure there's at least one genius out there who can adapt these to work with Poser5. Rob I think the cloth room is stitch for Max. The hair room is very similar to Sasquatch for LightWave but seems a bit better. Alot cheaper! Also alot like shave and a hair cut. Ron

Oh yeah I forgot about them thanks Ron :) I was just doing a quick search & those were the first to come up, it should be fairly easy to work out the settings to use from them for poser. Rob

The cloth dynamics are also very much like Lightwaves in 7.5. The hair concepts are alsmost exactly like sasquatch with the guide hairs. The good thing about the poser one is it cast shadows. Ron

I can write tuts on the hair and the cloth but have no where to house them. Anybody have any suggestions? I should be able to post them by the end of the week. Ron

The hair is neither Sasquatch nor Shag Hair. It's called "Shave and a Haircut". Versions exist fo Lightwave, Maya, and C4D... if I remember correctly. Cloth room is definitely Stitch. Materials room is by Pixels Digital, Inc. http://www.pixels.net/ Hope this helps. Phoenix

Yep very much the same as Joes shave and a hair cut. Cloth room is no doubt stitch. I beleive the manual even says that or the help drop down leads you to their site. Ron

hehehe I bet that causes a few turned heads over in the LW forum ;) What will really blow their minds is if we hijack(sorry only word to describe it) their tutorials for poser5. Rob

Hey some of them are applicable. I am going to check the net to see which might apply. Ron

When I first saw P5's hair room, it reminded me of XSI's Hair, which abses on Joseph Alter Inc., the maker for Shave and Hair Cut.

ronmollina, if you have some tutorials, I can definitely host them for you! I hosted some for Sama1 a while back. You can check it out at www.fallencity.net/lore Cheers!
