Like everyone else I'm trying to come to grips with all the new changes in Poser 5. I played around with the various rooms using only the content that came with Poser 5. This morning I tried some of my Poser 4 stuff and made a stab at using the material room to setup the existing textures for a character and render them in the new renderer. I conenected the bump maps to the bump map node set the transparency edge setting off, etc. It appears like th skirt that is being used as a loin cloth in this picture is still either casting a shadow (turned off shadow casting for the whole skirt) or is coloring the light as it passes through the transparent sections. (Note: The texture was allied to the entire object not just the areas that where intended to show up. My questions is, Is this a "feature" of Poser 5 that I need to take into account and only texture the areas that are supposed to show or is something wrong?

Make sure your transmap's falloff is set to 0. That solved a similar problem for me involving hair. ;)

Thanks, but that didn't seem to help.
