Working on a new long sleeved kimono clothing (the Obi is from ISO and hair from HONEY) There are problems with self-collision) notice teh ink blank blotches on the right sleeve. Kind of breaking new ground here do not know if its a bug or because I am learning. You can see the layers poking through each otehr in teh pic below. Still a WIP

Can't offer you any help on what might be causing those black spots. But other than those, it's really beautiful. Ah, so nice to finally be able to do flowing clothing! Phoenix

One thing that I've found that helps -- especially with really loose cloth -- is to let the simulation run on for a lot of extra frames. It takes a while, but usually between frame 50 and 60, there's at least ONE that looks good. Here's an image that was *supposed* to be a quick test (cloth prop angled over her body then allowed to fall, with exactly one vertice constrained to her right collar to keep it from sliding down to her hips). It continually disappeared into her body, then reappeared, and took a good 1 hour 45 min to simulate. But, like I said, one or two frames came out OK -- as a still image, it would only take a tiny bit of post work to fix. Or, at that point I could have, for example, exported it as a morph target. In this case though, that wasn't an issue. Nice looking kimono, BTW. Good luck!

You can get rid of most if not all of those problems by fiddling with the settings. Ron

Very nice kimono! It's really so nice to be able to do flowing and draping cloth, isn't it? Is that a draft render? I know in draft mode sometimes you get those black patches. So, if that's the case, then it should be fine in the "production" render mode.

In P4 black spots in the mesh meant there were vertice problems at that area. If you took it into another program an unfilled the polygon and then refill it usually solved the problem. Not sure what would cause it though.

That is looking so good LordNakagawa. P5 opens up so many possibilities. And the drop cloth works well bracer, that is a good point about adding extra frames to an animation.
