Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 13 11:02 am)
You can delete morphs right inside Poser4 using the Hierarchy editor. Open the HE and click the radio button "Show parameters". Go down to the body part that contains the morphs you want to get rid of and select the icon next to the morph name and delete. On a PC there is an actual delete button on the KB, it may be different on a MAC. -JH.
And also you can copy morphs with Poser as well: Select the body part, set one morph dial to 1, everything else to 0 (or mix it to create a "new" morph) and then export as wavefront. One of the following dialog options is "save as morph target". The open a new ("morph compatible") figure and import the exported .obj as morph target (see manual for details). Not as convenient as MorphManager, but it will work until something better is finished.
Well, "mid patch" sort of... :-) From what I heard by Larry, 4.0.2.118 is probably as final as the current thing will go, so everyone with the US 4.0 should get it now. I can only speak for the Mac version, but it definitely is much improved over 4.0, and should be worth the download. Don't worry about the missing installer, it takes you less than a minute to drag the few files to their proper locations.

"Mr. X" came up with some wonderful utilities for PC users, but so far, we Mac people are still out in the cold. SO... A) I've been told how to transport Morph targets from one figure to another using a text editorhaven't tried it yet, but see no reason why it shouldn't work. HOWEVERHOW can I DELETE unwanted or unused MT's from a figure easily? B) HOW can I, a Mac user, easily transform a HUGE PZ3 file into a relatively small CR2 file? I attempted this once using RDD 5.5, and the results were NOT pretty. In addition to Poser 4.0 (with the recent update), I'm running RDD 5.5 and Bryce 4, but am not a real master of either of them. If someone out there has ideas or suggestions, remember that you'll be explaining it to a compleat idiot. Thanks! kayma@iname.com
