Heres the problem: Tried to render a 44.9 MB file and it freezes. Reinstalled poser and put the old geometries, libraries and textures files back in the new runtime folder. Tried to render again the something happens. :( System: AND 1.5 Windows Me Free disk space 21.3 896 MB RAM Any ideas? Thanks

you probably won't like the answer much. Scrap winME & go for one that's based on the NT kernel, Win2K or WinXP. It's the only thing that stopped those types of problems for me. Rob

have you downloaded the memory fix from the CL website? that might help in the short term, also have a look at this link, it might be what you want.

Defragmentize your HD, clean up your registry, increase your swap file size. If youve propack, you can also delete some files (I think the *.rsr files, but Im not sure about this, make a search here to confirm it). This all helps, but it doesnt guarantee success

Thanks, Have another 512 RAM coming and going to get a 60MB harddrive just for Poser and Photoshop. I'm not ready to put XP in, but will try 2000.

hmmm did you get the right update for your version? there's one for Poser4.03 & one for ProPack, you are updated to version 4.03 for original poser & SR3 for Propack?

xposted with you :) how big is your swapfile?

Kinouk ( ) posted Sun, 22 September 2002 at 1:24 PM

Not sure what swapdisk is :(. Now getting a error message after memory update "AS132_12.DLL"

c1rcle ( ) posted Sun, 22 September 2002 at 1:36 PM

hmmm could be you need to change the number try changing it to AS132_13.dll, the swapdisk/file is virtual memory, windows will normally handle it automatically, not sure where to find the settings for it on WinME, but it should be in properties when you right click on My Computer on the desktop, not really something you want to play about with unless you're a pc expert or mad
