Not meant to be historically accurate, more of a stylized approach taken, mainly due to lack of appropriate meshes.

This is the first time I've posted a work in progress here. Please let me know what you think ... improvements, etc.

Thanks!

I will assume that you intend on texturing the pyramids, so I won't mention that. I do have a couple of other suggestions, though. 1) change the bump map on the sand material, to give the feeling that wind has been moving it. if you see some desert pictures, you will see what I mean. 2) add some swirling dust, to make it seem like the wind is blowing. 3) add a some realistic looking clouds. perhaps at the top left and right corners of your picture. it looks a little empty there.(you can do this by creating spheres, and appling a volumetric material to them) 4) it looks a little barren in the foreground as well. perhaps a coupl of camels, or maybe an oasis with some vegetation around it. I like the entrance to the main pyramid, with the palm trees on either side of the entryway. as I mentioned, some more vegetation would look good(not too much, though, as you still want it to look like a desert, I assume). I hope I wasn't too harsh, or overwhelming(you did ask, though =c) ). hth, big_hoovie

Thanks for your input b_h ... it's appreciated. I'm going back to the drawing board with this one to make a couple of changes and will keep your words in mind as I re-work the image.

Thanks again!!!
