Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 30 8:14 pm)
Well, i am using Vue on a Mac but i don't have Mover 4. I think you can take the risk. Vue is a reliable piece of software - with some weak points, like all other software packages. The biggest issues from my point of view are: Colored texts in the file dialog boxes. Sometimes hard to read. But it seems that this is more an inconsistancy between OS X and Apples own developer descriptions. Several programs do have this "bug". Vue 4.x is the first version on the Mac. And this version is not able to read Vue 3.x files. This cuts you off from a lot of material available on the Internet . If you don't have access to a windows version of Vue (Vue comes on a hybrid cd). Some users do have problems with OpenGL and Vue. But i don't have this problems. Maybe this problems are fixed in the last update (4.1). The display quality in the working windows of imported object (3ds, dxf,...) is a little poor. But you can find workarounds for that (wireframe boxes etc). The rest are the normal things and are not platform dependend. So i never had any regrets of buying Vue.
One day your ship comes in - but you're at the airport.
Jerry, after I found out how to get the Poser import working (s. link). I'm really satisfied with my purchase of Vue. :) Unfortunately I can't tell you anything about Mover either. If you have specific questions just ask. :))) Phil

I want to buy Vue and Mover for Mac, but having read thru the forum it looks like a few of you are having problems. I am wondering if these problems are common and if they have been fixed? thanks!
