I use the wishlist as a place to park items I am interested in purchasing. Some of the items I will definitely buy; others I am only mildly interested in. Some will park there for a long time before I decide to buy them or delete them. I have been told by a DAZ contributor that most sales come from newly introduced items; items she created in the past languish on the shelves and see few sales. I assume it is the same at the Renderosity Marketplace. Here is a suggestion that may help you regenerate interest in and sales of old items. Putting them on sale (which you do) is a good start. But you don't promote them very effectively. Do I want to dig thru all the sale items every day to find something I might be interested in? Not me. BUT ... if you had another column in the wishlist that had a SALE icon next to those items in my wishlist that were on sale, I'd probably be enticed into buying something that I might not otherwise purchase, because, in America, what is important is not how much something costs, but how much you SAVE! (That's a joke, but not entirely incorrect.) If you had such a feature in the wishlist, I WOULD check my wishlist every day to see if anything old I was (somewhat) interested in might be available at a discount. That would be a quick and painless process for me, and I'm pretty sure it would generate more sales for Renderosity and the artists. So whadaya think? Is that a brilliant idea, or what?
