Fo your main question, I agree that it would be good if it worked and it ought to be set up to work, but it doesn't seem to be. I can answer your side questions. The equation is slave setting = master setting * control ratio so control ratio = desired slave setting/desired master setting Therefore if you want a slave setting of 1 when the master is set to 45, you need a control ratio of 1/45. The effect of multiple masters is cumulative slave setting = M1 * CR1 + m2 * CR2 + ... + Mn * Crn where M1 to Mn are the master dial setting and CR1 to CRn are the control ratios.

Okay, so 1 degree = 1. I wasn't sure on that, though I could tell that 360 degrees didn't equal 1. As for the first thing... could there possibly be a method that refers to the conformed-to figure? Like getStringRes() calls a name, could there possibly be an overlooked parentFigure().part way of saying things maybe? Are there any conformers for which this works?
Yep, 1 degree = 1. As for the other thing, I don't think so, but I couldn't be 100% sure.

A possible work-around would be to return to the old posable clothing methods. That is, don't conform the clothing at all; copy the base figure's pose to it using the pose dots. ERC should then work. Note that you can conform the clothing while you're setting up your scene, but once that's done, un-conform it and pose copy instead. Posable clothing also gives you more "tweak-ability" if the fit is troublesome. As a recent Poser 3 user, I can recommend it. ;-)

Okay, I have a question here... I've noticed that when you have a conforming article of clothing (or whatever) that it's conformed pose is not posed.. For instance, if you have a shirt for Mike and you move Mike's lShldr in a yrot, the shirt moves, too, but it's not actually yrotted. Its dials say 0 and if you adjust them it comes off arm. Now, the problem is that this seems to restrict the ability to enact ERC based on joint movement, because the joint isn't actually moved. I could tie the ERC to intended base figure (i.e. Mike) but most aren't named. Moreover, there's no way to be certain i'll be tying it to the right figure, since if the person has mre than one Mike loaded, or some permutation of Mike, the figure the clothing is intended to conform to could be Figure1 or Figure2 or GeorgeTheBarbarian3 or whatever. However, it seems to me that conformers would make the most use of ERC since they could enact morphs to cover the places where a piece of a figure might stick through the clothing -- not to mention dynamic wrinkles that could form in certain poses (for instance, the line from the nipple on a man to the bottom outside quadrucep forms a wrinkle in most fabrics as the arm is raised from the tension in the fabric increasing unevenly). As a related but side question: is there a set equation for joint-to-morph-dial ratios? Not a set value, as that depends on the intended limits, but a set equation to calculate, say, MT at 1.00 when yrot is at 45 degrees? And will such an equation hold up if you have more than one rotation affecting it, or will they work cumulatively, so that if you set the MT to 1.00 at yrot 45 degrees and xrot 30 degrees, and then you position it to xrot 30 yrot 45, will it be at 1.00 or 2.00?
