Subject: Error-no disk in drive D

Got two problems with a figure I got last month for my birthday. The figure is Kira (for the MilGirls) from Handspan Studio.Problem #1..I get an error message that no disk is in drive D (my CD drive) when I load from the library window.Problem#2...Kira is two figures(Kira and Kira older)..if Kira older is loaded, and then any second figure....the second will be missing thier left collar. As I really like Kira I've come up with a work around.Problem#1..put a disk in the drive(a blank one works),and she loads.Problem#2..going to use two or more figures in a render,I load Kira last.Everything works out OK,and I have a very cute render to look at,but I was just wondering why this happens....is the missing collar "cross talk".Sorry..since I like what Poser4 does for me,and I'm not worrying about a hairgrowing, missing patched,XP crashing bluescreen Firefly..I got to worry about something..right?

Do you load Kira from a .cr2 file? If you're comfortable opening up .cr2 files, you might want to look at the file references and see if there's a call to the D drive. I've seen it happen before, it's annoying. You can change the absolute reference with a relative reference and fix the issue, if that is the problem. I'm not sure why the missing collarbone would happen. Since Kira (older) is based on Vicki, you might want to nuke the .rsr file that is in the Geometries[something] folder, next to the vicki .obj file. If it gets corrupted, weird things happen. I don't know why only the Kira character would cause this to happen, but killing the .rsr is a first step for me when stupidities occur. Hope it helps!

Crescent,Thanks for the responce. Yes Kira is loaded from the .cr2,but I don't really know what to look for if I open the file. I just deleated the .rsr for all the Mil Obj.,but that didn't help.Kira older is in fact based on the MilGirl and not Vicky. She is scaled up much larger than the standered Preteen, almost the size of Posette. Maybe that's part of the problem.

CorrectReference in freestuff might fix that cr2.

PabloS...Thanks!! CorrectReference fixed the error message problem. It's amazing just how good and useful all those Utilities programs really are...Morph Mgr.,Tailor,P3dO,UV Mapper, etc.,and now CorrectReference. Thanks once more.
