Can it be "The many Gothic colors of Autumn"? Lol...I'm kidding! Great theme, perfect for October. Go forth and render... To cut down on any mistakes on my part... 1.Don't post entries in this thread, make a new one. 2.Please feel free to post as many wip's/revisions as you want, but put each one in a new thread. Don't post them all in one thread. Thanks - AgentSmith

FWT, Good Idea! After so many Halloweens go by, the shades of orange and black seem to run together. A celebration of the change in season seems more appropriate without apple bobbing and sugary treats. Of course the way you worded it, one could still do a halloween ptcture, Agent Smith, or a gothic one. Since the contest is voted on by the membership, why couldn't you enter the challenge as well, time permitting? I don't foresee any conflict, and it would be neat to see what you come up with. - TJ
I may come up with an "unofficial" entry, I don't think the guy running the ferris wheel should really be on it, lol.

Agent Smith, I don't see why you can't enter. Yeah, you're a mod. Yeah, you make the page for voting and stuff, but ultimately, I think your influence on the contest is minimal, so I don't think it's unfair. It's not like there are cash prizes either. It's a friendly contest. Besides, you've done some killer work, it would be good to see some in a challenge. If it's up to me, I'd say that you can and should enter.
It will be incorporated into Bryce Pro.

ok, here it goes...I just couldn't see doing the goth thing at the same time as the contest on the front page. Would've been fun; but, hey, maybe everybody will try to come up with something for that contest, too... So, how about "The Many Colors of Autumn" as a theme. And I'm not just talking about RGB or CMYK. Compose and render a scene depicting your favorite thing about the season. Whether it's hot-dogs at a football game or the World Series here in the States, or kids trick-or-treating, or the changing leaves in the forests and the first snows, or whatever it may be. Your Challenge will be to visually describe to us your favorite thing about Autumn. Now, you artists posting from places such as Australia and New Zealand will have to remember to six months ago, and I'm not sure how Autumn would be much different from any other season if you live near the equator, but I think I've observed that most of us live in zones in which the change of seasons is noticeable. I feel like this subject will allow for greater freedom to express oneself artistically, and I would expect to see a greater variety of images submitted. Post-work and imports?... absolutely! Does the point I'm trying to get across make sense to everyone? Hope so. Now let's get rendering, and maybe we'll have over 50 entries this time!
