So I says to myself "Self remember that neato cartoon G.I. Joe" I says "Yup" then I says "Well why don't you go on and make yerself one of them Cobra troopers" so I says "O.K." so this is how the above image came to be,it's not done yet but, tell me what you think.

Ask me a question, and I'll give you an answer.

LOL! I remember that cartoon - was a comic book from Marvel as well wasn't it? Cool outfit btw.

let me know when its done. im itching from some joe and thundercats stuff! you gonna be releasing this?

VIDandCGI ( ) posted Mon, 14 October 2002 at 1:41 AM

Those things (action figures) used to have about as many joints as this poser counterpart. Purfect for when you bought them, but a few weeks down the line they would all be cowering on their knees as the joints loosened :)

Actually just reminded me, if anyone wants a challenge, what about a series of downloads based upon the old 'STARCOM' series. Those lil action figures with magnetic boots and ships with magnetic actions ...... :) I was a playful kid :) Transformers anyone ;)

Ahhhh ... nostalgia flashback. Hmm, it's almost 2 am. Cartoon Network has been showing GI Joe at night. Hmm ... time to channel check.

I always thought it was kinda funny that they could shoot all day and not hit a thing.(the cartoon, that is) and the toys were pretty cool too. You could wind them up and do the cool mysticle ninja cyclone of death!! At least till you broke the little rubberband that held them together. I've noticed that they are trying to make a come-back, been seeing them alot in the toy stores lately.

Make the Baroness next.

Gee guys/gals, I'm really flattered by the great responces, I'll try and make a few more characters, I was thinking about Cobra commander next, and maybe the baroness later on as far as me releasing this, maybe but all it is is just textures I made, everything else is just stuff that can be found here at the renderosity markrtplace, and the Daz3d store (sorry d_authority) but I,ll post them on my free stuff once I'm done making this guy. Thanx Guys/Gals

it looks good.... and the lighting is good too.

zalmegra ( ) posted Mon, 14 October 2002 at 10:13 AM

Yeah, looking good. Ready for world domination. I'd like to see snake eyes too, he's my favorite.

jarm ( ) posted Mon, 14 October 2002 at 10:14 AM

Snakes eyes rules.

Barryw ( ) posted Mon, 14 October 2002 at 12:41 PM

But which version?? The old welding goggles one or the cool slotted visor one??

jarm ( ) posted Mon, 14 October 2002 at 12:43 PM

Slotted visor one was the only Snakes Eyes we had in the UK.

galactron22 ( ) posted Mon, 14 October 2002 at 12:48 PM

If I can find a slotted visor somewere I'll do that version, but if I can't fin it, ill do the goggles although don't like the goggles,in my opinion I think the slotted visor is better.

Ask me a question, and I'll give you an answer.

bloodsong ( ) posted Mon, 14 October 2002 at 5:27 PM

destro rules!

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Mon, 14 October 2002 at 10:21 PM

How about Serpentor? Just kidding. Shipwreck or Bazooka would be cool. Bazooka: "A bomb! I'll disarm it." Quick Kick: "Over my dead body!"

lmckenzie ( ) posted Tue, 15 October 2002 at 1:15 AM

sbertram, did you have them available at one time? I downloaded Lady Jaye, Scarlett and Cover Girl from somewhere once. I got them just because they looked cool. I'm afraid the GI Joe craze came somewhat after my first childhood. The women got much better looking after the days of Olive Oyl, though I still do have this strange feeling for Bugs Bunny in a push-up bra.

I had BAT, I just remembered how cool that figure was, it had a removable hand that could attach a gun and stuff.

Thanks Little Dragon. Has to be a pun about a wild hare, but I won't go there :-)
