Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 24 4:20 pm)
I think the official explanation is that he really said 'para-secs' -- presumably a space term for a very tiny fraction of time. I still prefer the explanatin that Han was just bullshitting badly. Optionally, maybe the 'Kessel Run' isn't a race over a certain distance, but, for instance, a measure of how far you can fly at top speed before the hyperdrive fails -- that would make sense for the Falcon!
Then why would he brag that he did it in "under" three parsecs....? I too have noticed that parsec is probably the most misunderstood term in Hollyweird in the last 20 years...at least they dont use "galaxy" for "solar system" any more... ...of course they still represent cloning as producing an identical, fully grown adult with all the personality and memories of the original....like a bioligical xerox... If DAZ makes a souped-up megamorphing polylicious hawk, are they going to call it the Millenium Falcon?
