I cant post tifs or bmps? Why? Is there a way to convert to jpeg without a graphics prog.?

Browsers don't display tifs or bmps.. (at least netscape doesn't, i'm not sure about msie).. There's a shareware program called ACDsee which is a great image browser that can also convert file types.. http://www.acdsystems.com/ Not sure of any other ways.. good luck. =) Rosh

Most browsers (in fact, I think all of them) only display PNG, GIF, or JPG images. ACDSee is probably the best way of converting images if you don't have a graphics program - although I think MSPaint will convert some formats Paul

MSIE will process BMP images, at least some times. It shouldn't but it does. Just another sloppy thing it lets you get away with... (Sorry, but I'm not a big fan of Microsoft's web products; I use Office and like MOST of it's features, but all MS products promote very Shoddy web-coding that drives me - and some browsers - crazy to deal with). I'm done ranting now. For at least the next three minutes.. :-)

You're echoing my sentiments which I've posted somewhere on another thread as well, Charlie. I really hate how MSIE promotes sloppy coding.. and since it can read it, people assume it's fine, though Netscape can't read it, and sometimes other MSIE browsers can't read it.. Oh well, Rosh
