I don't know how well you'd do selling P5-only hair; many (myself included) still use transmapped hair in P5. Also, P5 hair styles are being given away and sold on another site for $5. I wouldn't buy P5 hair at all (even at $5) unless there was something strikingly different and attractive about it.
Yeah, P5 hair is still a mystery to me. So I end up staying with trans hair mostly. The thing about the P5 hair is that is a drain on a system and really slows a render. Yours looks very cool and even useful. But I would think you may need to to have a lesser of simpler version for free and with a good readme to explain how to use it and what it should do. since the manual really doesn't explain very well. and the other (few free) P5 hair available seem to expect one to knwo how to use it.
Start at $15, then be prepared to cut the price. The idea of extra poses for it are great. The more options the better. I'm going to do 3 or 4 styles for Mike and put them in either freebies or for sale myself. A lot of people haven't gone to P5 hair yet because of the effort it takes to make it, and the fact that a lot of the early work people do looks like a wire football helment. It also takes much longer to render. Keep the number of hairs as low as possible, but still giving full coverage. Also use multiple hair growth groups so the customer can easily pose it themselves. Also include 8 or 9 color variations.
Just to give a little more detail: The hair is setup in 15 Growth Groups, divided left & right except for the lower neck (the 'peach fuzz' area) Hair count is 250-1500 per growth group, depending on location. This is still being optimised. It would include presets for at least 6 color variations, and likely some styling presets as soon as I figure them out. :-) Thanks for the feedback so far gang...keep it comin! CT
It looks good. Check out Neftis in the marketplace and other P5 hair and see what's going for what price. Personally, a hair has to be something really difficult, something that I would end up spending hours trying to make, before I buy it. For $10 a hair with a few morphs would entice me. For $15 or more I'd want even more, perhaps some choices of color and styles. - this is just what I look for and how I justify purchases. Hope it helps.
What character is that? He looks great!
...... Kendra
Kendra, That character is Brendan, a collaborative effort between myself and Kit. Frankly, I think he's one of the most realistic characters we've ever developed. Unfortunately, he's a custome job for Kit's project, so he won't be made available anywhere... :( Thanks very much for the compliment, however. :) CT
Hey, I like it but being on a Mac I don't have Poser 5 yet. But it certainly looks good. I never thought of using blonde hair my Raven texture. :-) CT, did you get the updated version of the Raven texture? It tones down the highlights on his upper chest.

bloodsong, if you bought Raven here you should be able to go to your purchases screen and download the updated zip. (I did send out an e-mail, honest!) If you bought him somewhere else, the update is still going through testing. But drop me an e-mail and I'll upload it somewhere for you. :-)

I've finally started getting the hang of some of the neater stuff in Poser 5, and this is one of the new hairstyles I've been working on for Michael 2. I call it the Brendan Hair, after the character it was originally designed for. Informal opinion, do you think this hair is suitable for the Marketplace, say at around $10-$15? If not, what would make it so? I'm asking for serious opinions here folks, so don't hold back...just be gentle. :-) CT
