Subject: Bryce 6 ???

I know, may be it's too early to ask, but... does anyone know anything NEW (besides Win 98 problem) about Bryce 6 ? Thanks!

Nope. Lol, wish there was anything, there just isn't.

I don't think anyone has even heard from Conan Hunter since last November. Presumably, he's out having a few drinks with Jimmy Hoffa and D.B. Cooper. :o) j/k

Perhaps he's trapped in a Bryce scene. Maybe that's a new feature.

Hehe...have you seen those bryce feature videos on the corel site? They have conan hunter inside bryce doing stuff with metaballs and skies and stuff. I don't think they're up anymore though.

I wish we just knew at what point of beta-testing they were at. Is it still early? Maybe halfway? I wonder what it takes to one day become a beta-tester? (I'm talking minimum's here, lol!)

All you have to do is sign up early, or else talk to another tester and ask them to put in "props' for you.

can't wait. I tried to get in B5 testing but signed up way late.

Lol, same here. Sent them an e-mail that was so poetic it should have had a national anthem playing in the background. Still, too late, no luck, lol.

LOL!!! Conan put in an appearance at Bryce Camp last spring, but was vague then about just when Bryce 6 will become a reality. We did give him an ear full about all the things that needed changing, fixing, etc. I do my part by routinely brow-beating the Corel people for being so slack in their e-newsletters. Bryce is often a mere blip when it gets mentioned at all while the rest of Corel's products take center stage. Damn shame.

AgentSmith ( ) posted Fri, 18 October 2002 at 11:53 PM

sorta off topic; Good news for Corel, some PC companies are dumping the MS Word bundle they have supplied with their new PC's in the past and going with Corel's Word Perfect. MS Word was getting to expensive, $100 more than Word Perfect.

I love bryce, but don't get me started on WP Office 2002. Too much money loss, stress in the office, employee walkouts, etc. We bought 18 copies of MS Word and are converting about 50k docs. What a disaster. There's a reason MS is more expensive.

TheVelvetFoxx ( ) posted Sat, 19 October 2002 at 1:16 PM

Been there during a HUGE conversion at my last employer! Does Microsoft sell disaster insurance?

EricofSD ( ) posted Sat, 19 October 2002 at 9:38 PM

It was Corel's disaster, not MS.
