RAM, can't believe no one told you what to do... When you take a long time making a reply and it takes you back to the forums, just click the "back" button and then click "Post reply" again. If you are particularly paranoid, click in the message and press "Cntrl - A" (selects all) and then Cntrl - C (Copies all).
The site times you out if you have been idle for more than 30 minutes. (It has no way of knowing that you're actually writing during that time.) If I've taken a long time to write something, I usually hit Preview Post, watch it time out, then hit Back, then Preview, then Post. The Back button trick doesn't always work, but I'd give it a 90% success rate. If possible, copy/paste to Notepad just before submitting as a precaution. I've been hit so many times by that, it's pathetic! ;-)

of entering a long reply and not having Renderosity shoot your post to the blasted Twilight Zone. Then I'm afraid to repost (if I can remember everything I wrote) because sometimes the post returns from the Twilight Zone later on. I must admit I'm not all that computer savvy, but this is the only site that behaves this way. Should I write out my reply in notepad then paste it? That's a bother. Am I the only one experiencing this? Will this post make to the forum? Cambert,Dialyn,Nu-be - I did reply to your posts to the Brits/Yanks thread but it has apparently vanished from creation - I'll try later after cooling off - ah that's frustrating
