Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 10 9:07 am)
The stretching is caused by the planar map. There may be a way to use a planar map and lay it out some how so it will work, but I haven't found it. The planar map will work great for solid colors or for textures that don't have a pattern - like a sweater. But if you are using a pattern, then the cylinder mapping will work. I did have stretching on the sleeves when I mapped the shirt as a cylinder, but when I pulled them off and mapped them as a cylinder (from another angle) I eliminated the stretching there too. Kevin

I was messing around trying to learn how to make new textures for some of the poser content that I have. I started with a pair of gym shorts. I had a leather texture and a denim texture. I tried each one separately by tiling them over the texture template. But when they get applied in Poser, there is stretching at the sides. The template is a front and a back view of the shorts. How do I eliminate the stretching? Should I remap the shorts and pull off the sides and rotate them so they are turned toward the front? I know UVMapper Pro has something called spreading facets. Is that what this is for? Kevin
