Subject: render just the cage?

Is there a way to have Vue eliminate the faces of an imported object and render only the edges? Just received a Strata render in the mail, and it looks so nice and so useful in some instances that I'd like to do it in Vue. ..only workaround I have is to inset faces and intrude to hollow in my mesher, but it gets cranky and looks less than grand.

This is possible if the edges and the faces are TWO DIFFERENT objects. If the edged and the faces are 1 object, then you cannot do it:-) Guitta

But you can do it with Vue native objects in using booleans, as the sample of a simple cube shows.

thanks so much for the work of letting me know what I want to do with an imported mesh isn't possible except through kludging a cage in the modeler - Vue is still my fav renderer for stills; and this is undoubtedly the forum with the best atmosphere -)
