I am having problems making transmaps for the shop front, The texture was created in Illustrator then cut up and applied to a template in Photoshop. When I try to make a transmap of the lettering and the white circles it doesn't work properly. I end up with a sort of grey gradient where it should be clear glass. Is this because I dont want it to be completely transparent? Or perhaps I am doing the transmap wrong? Could somebody point me in the right direction?

Man she ain't weird enough to be from Shibuya. :) trust me on this... There are some pretty scary trend hungry "I'll kill ya for a Luis voiton bag with my platform shoes" Ko-gals riding the JR around Shibuya... at least there were last time I was there 2 years ago. :)

It's funny you should mention kogals, because I made a 'ganguro' texture map complete with orange skin and exaggerated make up recently. I was toying with using it but its too funny. If I can track down a model of those boots, furry coat and some Prada I might be tempted.

Very cool looking picture. Once I made a transmap, and what I thought was black on the transmap, was not actually 100% black. Check it with the info tool in Photoshop.

Something else to make sure of... If this is in P5, then makes sure when applying the trans map that you have transparency falloff set to 0 rather than 0.6 (or whatever, the default). IF the falloff is not 0, then what is fully transparent on your map will look like grey plastic. Good luck.

The hair is DAZ3D's 'cool coils' style. It's available in their store.

I'd love to see your ganguro texture. I tried to make one some time ago, but it didn't work well.

Well here it is. It's nothing special I just took the freebie Oddyssey Rebirth texture and gave it a tan. Also I used Ironbear's Millenium usefuls to give her a more golden colour. The eyes are from BAT's Jyuri and the lash trans is another freebie, non clump lashes. I asked a japanese friend if it looked authentic and she said yes, but it was very unfashionable these days.

Yep. yesterday's fad. That's pretty authentic (I've seen it up close and personal) though... I'd maybe make her even darker. without the freaky wardrobe it's just not the same tho. :)
