I've got a nice little (well big) project in my head, i've even got some of it started...

I'm planning on making a few different (complete) sets of armor for Poser... (vicky, V2, Posette, Dork, michael, and Steph all included in this project) i've got a few breastplates done already, but i'm not sure how i should set these things up for conforming, etc... should i make them figures, or just smart props? which would be easier/better to use? (and create for the most part)

what i'm posting for is, does anyone know of some good tutorials for CR2 editing, EMC/easypose, figure creation (setup in poser), UVmapping (for clothing items), Mat file creation, etc...

i've looked but i haven't really found anything that i can use correct, for the type of project i'm working on

any help would be greatful PS. heres the begining of one of the breastplates

Can't help you at all on the questions you asked, but just one little obsevation. I know it's only a WIP, but you need some way to get INTO the armour...you need a joint, straps/buckles down the sides. Also , one thing I've noticed in just about every set of armour I've seen created here , they all seem just a little TOO body hugging. As one who has worn RL armour, one thing everyone seems to forget, is that armour is not much use without some form of padded garment underneath to avoid shock and chafing

see XURGE's sit or link or whatever he has available as far as tuterals. i watched him make a armor vest at dragon*con while giving a speach on how Rhino workes in about 20 min. of course he gives classes for Rhino in Miami. keep heiarchy matched to Poser parts is all i can say. the d/c demo class might be available from here by now.

Try PoserPros - there's some good sections in the Forum just dedicated to what you need - modelling, clothing workshops etc. Xurge actually gives helping hints over there as well. My 2 cents worth.

I'll second the comment on the armour here - I've worn full heavy plate on horseback. It's basically this big human shaped lobster shell :P Not body hugging in the slightest. And it rattles, especially articulated shoulder pieces and kneecups. Knights don't sneak much :) Once of the most annoying things in the world is a stuck buckle on the side of your breastplate. BTW, a tip for those in heavy armour - DON'T FALL OFF THE HORSE. It hurts. Alot. Even with heavy padding underneath and a bicycle helmet under the tilting helm.
