I need some help and I am sure I am overlooking something simple. HOw do you take the gravity off the characters so their feet do not stick to the ground or point down when you pull them up? Is there a setting?

Uncheck figure IK of the feet in the figure menu.

Go to Figure and deselect the Inverse Kinetics for both legs (for some strange reason they have it defaulted to being "on").

However, if you want your figure to sit, it is usually better to have the settings checked "on", select hip to place the figure into position, and then uncheck the Inverse Kinetics for the rest of your pose. Someone told me that and it was very helpful, and I wish I could remember who so I could thank them properlyu.

Is there anyway to configure P5 (or the cr2/z) so that it defaults to deselected IK?

I don't have P-5, but can't you load the figure, turn off the Ik links, then resave to libraries. I would change names so as to not over write 1 figure. Tashar 59

perhaps you can turn off IK, and 'save' in preferences. don't know if that works.
