I'm interested what you think of CPU/RAM need for poser, or what you use. Is a AMDK6-2/450MHz and 108Mb of RAM enough for Poser under WinNT ?

I'd guess yes. But about 196 megs should work better.

I had an AMDK6-2/500MHz and 128Mb under 98 and Poser ran fine. I currently have a PIII 733Mhz and 256Mb under 98se and have yet to see a problem... -Rob

The processor is certainly fast enough I guess - I'm running a PII-400 with no problem. I'd certainly consider as much RAM as you can afford. 128Mb is good, 256Mb is better. Poser is a total memory hog and the more you can feed it the better. Paul

Thanks to all. I have picked this parts in my lunch. I install this goudies this evening (maybee going to buy some 64megs of RAM more) and hope i can render my giger-bar and post it to the art-gallery. SHARKEY

i ran the same cpu with 196mb ram then went to a pII 350 celeron clocked to 450 and got about a 30% speed up in rendering in poser ........Steve

I got by fine on my old system: 200Mhz MMX pentium with 96mb of Ram (not PC-100, but EDO). I've upgraded recently though. I had trouble only in keeping it in full textured mode as I moved stuff around. I had to work in the 'box-on-change' mode. Now on my AMD K7 500Mhz w/256 PC133 Ram I can go full textured all the time and move around as fast as I click and drag.

Truth has no value without backing by unfounded belief.

You all could be happy. Had installed the Upgrade-socket and the AMD K6-2/450MHz and what you think is coming up ==> DAMNED NOTHING !!! Next morning i bring the "goudies" back to the store and order a whole new system, means i had to go the hard way and install all programms and everything new. Hope all will work fine right now. But first i have to save all data on cd's. Puhhh 4Gb of poser-like stuff. SHARKEY
