My wife usually won't let me spend that much on "Poser Junk", but i was able to get her to let me join the platinum Club because of all the stuff i could then get for$1.99, thus stretching my Poser Budget even further...

I'm not a member, in fact I just made my very first Daz purchases last night... The 30% off sale just sucked me in... I"M DOOMED!!!!!! God help me if I ever get the Platinum club account.

zechs, it looks like great value. I must add that I am a non-member not by choice. I don't have an income. If by chance I were to get a job before the 30%sale ends, I would go and buy a membership, but thats not likely... The stuff in ther looks great! Love that lounge, going to have to try and model some stylish furniture like that for myself. :) Not that I even USE half the stuff! LOL

I agree.. looks like a great deal! Maybe sometime next year they will have the sale again... until then, I'll just keep drooling...

I'd love to, but as a hobby, Poser is third on my list after anime and video games. Plus I've got a wife who's understanding I have stretched quite thin. :) I bought the 3 items I got at Daz because I need them for a serious animation project I'm hoping to start. ( I am far too lazy to model a mustang from scratch in Truespace. :( ) Most of the stuff in the Platinum club is cool, but not anything I can honestly say I need. :( FYI I bought: Duddly's 66 Mustang The Morphing Glasses 45 autoloader (gun) All are really great! Now with the 30% off sale I am sure to get Mike 2.0, Vicky 2.0, and Mimic for X-mas. :) :) :) If not for all my other expensive hobbies I could get addicted to this.

And your wife - well, I suggest you find a way to juggle your finances, because when the list of purchases gets really loooooooong, you're in trouble. Ask me, I know. "What kind of animation project are you working on zechs?" An insanely ambitious one. a 2 episode direct to DVD commercial animation. (Yes I am insane.) I've had fits and starts with this sort of thing before, so I know its a bit far fetched. But computer speed, software, and The abundance of free props here are helping to make it more feasible now. Well you should be happy then because it contains all of those. :) I don't want to go into too much detail at this point, because I don't want to hype the project until I am well into production. (Nothing like getting peoples hopes up only to make em wait a year.... or worse can the project. :) I will say that it involves UFOs.

well, if you havent heard - the 30% off also extends to gift certificates. Today is my 15th anniversary and hubby feeling guilty [since he is in Aruba] said ok get yourself $100 gift certificate from me for DAZ (as he knows i live there). So went out - bought the certificate - checked out and TADA - only cost my hubby $70..... Now, the only dilemna I have is whether or not to let him know he got a deal or spend his other $30 ;-)

Zechs, it sounds like something I would love. Do you have a website where we can keep track of your progress?

Not yet. Like I said i don't even want to start to hype it at all till I'm at least 70% done with the animation of the first episode. (So I have a reason to believe I'll finish it. ^_^) A mistake that many artists, game designers, filmmakers (whatever) make (IMO) is Hyping a project far too early. they build excitement which as time drags on turns into impatience, resentment, and finally worst of all... apathy. For instance I don't care anymore whether Duke Nukem forever comes out or not.... But 2 years ago I did. :) When I am ready to release info on this project i promise this will be the first place that I will come though. :)
