Hi folks, Digital Carvers Guild is proud to announce Anything Glows. Glow shaded objects that really cast light! Use any shape for your light. Anything you can build in Carrara, you can use as a light. Check it out at http://digitalcarversguild.com/products/anythingglows/anythingglows.htm Here's a couple of images done with Anything Glows lukebulb.jpgmore_joes.jpg Eric Winemiller Digital Carvers Guild Freeware and commercial 3D extensions http://digitalcarversguild.com

Eric this is a great extension! It reminds me a one for 3DS Max called LumaObject. Except that LumaObject doesn't have to make to make the object glow. This means that it can be used to make a fake radiosity effect without the taxing the CPU. Is it possible that you could make this extension with the option of not making the object glow, but just emit the light? Or is there a work around with AG as it is now to achieve this effect?

You can skip the glow, it's actually slightly faster since there are no shader calculations. Set Anthing Glow's Color parameter on Light Color and use a Gel to fine tune control how it emits light. Anything Glows can run off of the Light Color, the Object's Color, or the Object's Glow. Eric Winemiller Digital Carvers Guild Freeware and commercial 3D extensions http://digitalcarversguild.com
