Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 25 9:50 pm)
Without more info or a pic its hard to say, so just some wild guesses and general suggestions: -Most props & characters will load at the center of the universe. If you create a scene offset from the center everything you open will typically have to be translated to the offset location of your scene. -Use your Top, Side and Front cameras (the ones that do not rotate) to tell where your objects really are in the universe. -For more predictable & precise adjustments when posing, use the dials or enter the numbers directly rather than using the trackball or moving body parts by dragging them. (*this is a biggie) -Turn off IK for the arms and legs until you understand it and know when it is helpful.

Hi all,
I'm very new to Poser, I'm trying to learn, and I think I've some of the stuff under control - I can apply tex and trans maps, lighting isn't too difficult to understand, eh... but I can't EVER seem to make two figures interact with one another - UNLESS I find a pose which automates all of it.
What I can not, for the life of me, figure out, is WHY when I try to add something like a chair to the scene - the chair is .. not visible. It's in the scene, and if you switch cameras, there's a couple of different ones that WILL show the figure - but, no matter what I do I can't get my human figure and my chair - or whatever - in the same vicinity.
And then, when/if I can get them in the same general area, I can not for the LIFE of me figure out how to get my model to look like he/she is sitting in that chair. I can put the human model in a sitting pose, but I can't make her look like she's sitting on the chair. :(
Does anyone know where a newbie like me can find these kinds of tutorials?
Any help would be appreciated.
